Lara Beach photoshoot in Antalya

Lara is a long sandy beach within Antalya city. The sand is warm, fine and golden-grey, and the shore is angled so that at sunset the sun drops straight into the sea — a rare combination for Antalya, where the sun usually hides behind the mountains.

It is a city beach, so it gets busy in summer. But I know where to stand and what time to come so that only you and the sea remain in the frame. If someone still gets into the shot, I remove them during retouching. Horses can also be arranged for this location on request.

What to know about a shoot on Lara Beach

Space and a clean frame
Lara is all about space: a wide strip of sand, an open waterline and a high sky without cliffs or trees on the horizon. It is a good place for minimalist frames where there is only you, the sand and the sunset sky. The composition stays clean — nothing distracts.
I shoot only at sunset
I shoot at Lara only at sunset — this is the best time for this location. About an hour before the sun goes down, the light becomes soft and golden; reflected from the warm sand and water, it gives a special glow to skin and hair. I do not shoot here at sunrise — the sun rises from the other side and the right light is not there.
City beach and retouching
In summer, the beach is busy, especially on weekends and public holidays. This is not a problem: I frame the shots so that strangers do not enter the lens, choose angles carefully and catch short “windows” when the space around you is clear. If someone still appears in the frame, I remove them neatly in post-processing. In the final photos, the beach looks as if it is only yours.
Frames with horses
An additional option available here is a shoot with horses. This needs to be booked in advance: I arrange it with the owners, agree the timing for sunset, and the horses are brought to the location at the start of the shoot. The frames are especially beautiful because of the contrast between the soft shape of the animal and the sun setting into the sea.

Practical details

Best time — sunset

I shoot here only at sunset: around 1 hour before the sun goes down, during the so-called golden hour. We agree the exact time for your specific date. I do not shoot at sunrise at this location.

City beach and people in the frame

In summer, Lara has many beachgoers. I choose angles and timing so that people do not enter the frame. If they still appear, I remove them during retouching. In the final photos, the beach looks empty.

Horses on the shoot — on request

At Lara, horses can be added to the frame — this is a separate option that we book in advance. I arrange it with the owners and agree the timing for sunset. If you want this type of shoot, message me in advance, at least a few days before.

What to wear

Long flowing dresses work well on a sandy beach — chiffon, silk and light cotton catch the wind beautifully. Warm tones such as milk, beige, ochre, terracotta and burgundy pick up the sunset light. Shoes are not necessary — most frames are shot barefoot on the sand.
